Elena has been painting for over 15 years. While still in Russia, she graduated from art school and after moving to Spain –  she was 19 at the time – continued her studies at the Academia de dibujo y pintura en Almeria, while studying photography and art at Escuela de Arte de Almeria.

At first Elena painted in oil, then switched to acrylic, and draws with it in a mixed style (estilo ecléctico), using the classical technique. Recently, she has become more and more interested in new techniques, among them working with acrylic spray.
